NovaStar control systems

The panels are half the system. What drives them decides latency, colour, redundancy and whether the wall can be re-calibrated in five years. We specify, supply and commission the whole signal chain.

Selection turns on the application first — rental staging, permanent install, broadcast, or unattended signage — then on pixel count. A controller that is right for a touring rig is usually wrong for a command-centre wall.

It is not an accessory

The controller decides refresh behaviour, colour processing, redundancy and how the wall recovers from a fault. A good panel on a poor controller performs like a poor panel.

Capacity is the sizing number

Controllers are specified on pixel load, not screen size. Work out total resolution first, then pick the box — sizing by area is how walls end up short of ports.

Redundancy is configured, not bought

N+1 only protects you if the backup path is set up at commissioning. Hardware that supports it and hardware that is running it are different things.
