Filter by use and compare the key numbers side by side. Tap any model to size a wall and get a quote — but read the note below first, because the columns that decide a project are not always the ones buyers compare on.
Which column actually matters
Pixel pitch
Set by viewing distance, not by budget. Pitch in millimetres is roughly the closest comfortable viewing distance in metres. Finer than the room needs is money spent on detail nobody can see.
Brightness (nits)
Indoor runs 600–1,500. Outdoor facing daylight needs 5,000–10,000. This is a threshold, not a preference — an underspecified screen is unreadable, not merely dim.
Refresh rate
Irrelevant if nobody films it, decisive if they do. Below roughly 3,840 Hz a camera records banding the eye never sees.
IP rating
Outdoors, confirm it covers front and rear. Front-only ratings are common and inadequate for monsoon rain driven sideways off the road.
Cabinet size & weight
Decides rigging time and structure. On rental stock this is the number that governs how many shows a crew can turn around.
Service access
Front-serviceable or rear. It changes the structural design and whether you need a maintenance corridor behind the wall.
